The WNEC womens lacrosse team got back on track after losing 3 of 4 with an 18-0 win over Regis College Wednesday at Golden Bear Stadium.
The G-Bears jumped out to a 15-0 lead at halftime, but stepped off the gas a little bit in the second half, scoring just 3 goals. WNEC dominated outshooting Regis 29-5 and taking 17 of 20 draw controls. Jeanmarie Barbato led the way for WNEC with 5 points (3 G, 2 A), with Nicole Poli and Jillian Saley both having 2 goals and 2 assists apeice. Nicole Squadrito also chipped in two goals for the G-Bears as well. WNEC moves to 3-3 on the season, and 1-0 in the TCCC.
WNEC will travel to Biddeford, ME to face UNE on Saturday afternoon, the first of three games on the next road trip. They return to Golden Bear Stadium on April 2, when they face Anna Maria at 1:00.
