WNEC softball closes in on .500 with blowout of Elms

The WNEC softball team improved to 10-11 overall and moved their winning streak to 5 with a 15-3 defeat of Elms College.

The top 3 of the G-Bears order of Tricia Breault, Maria Francese, and Rachel Ryrwa combined for 11-12 with 12 runs and 10 RBI, 7 of which were from Wyrwa, who also hit two homers.  The Golden Bears had 3 4-run innings and a 3-run 3rd, smacking 18 hits and taking advantage of 5 Elms errors on the day.  Rachelle Fecteau improved to 1-2 on the season, throwing 3 innings allowing one run on three hits and 4 walks.  Dianna Wilms came in for Fecteau, going two innings, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) to finish off Elms. 

WNEC returns home Thursday for a doubleheader with Eastern Nazarene at 3, as they return to TCCC play after two out-of-conference contests.
