TCCC Players of the Week

Baseball
Player of the Week- Brendan Tapley, senior catcher, Salve Regina- went 6-6 with 1 2B, 5 RBI, and 3 runs scored in two games for Salve Regina.  Currently hitting .333 with 2 2B, 8 RBI, and 6 runs scored in 12 games played.

Pitcher of the Week- Mark DiTommasso, junior RHP, WNEC- went 2-0 in two starts, allow 5 hits, 1 walk, and 17 strikeouts over 13 shutout innings.  He is 3-0 with a 1.52 ERA on the year, with just 4 runs allowed over 23.2 innings pitched.

Rookie of the Week- Tad Gold, freshman CF, Endicott- went 8-19 a double, 2 3B, 4 RBI and 4 runs in 5 games played.  He is now hitting .392 with 5 2B, 3 3B, and 9 RBI to go along with starting all 21 games for the Gulls.

Mens Lacrosse
Offensive Players of the Week- Dan Utz, senior midfielder, Gordon College- scored 13 total points (8 G, 5 A) in 3 games for Gordon, has 33 goals and 10 assists in 10 games this season; Tyler Thomas, sophompore attack, UNE- 13 goals and 6 assists in 3 games, has 22 goals and 14 assists in 11 games in 2011.

Defensive player of the Week- Stuart Knechtle, senior defenseman, Gordon College- 38 ground balls in 3 games for Gordon, has a TCCC leading 88 ground balls on the year to go along with a goal and 3 assists in 10 games.

Rookie of the Week- Steve Parsons, freshman attacker, NEC- 12 goals, 4 assists in 3 games for NEC, has 15 goals and 8 assists in 9 games for NEC, 3 of which are starts.

Mens Tennis
Player of the Week- Eliot Wuhrmann, junior, Nichols College- 3-0 at #5 and #6 singles and 3-0 at #3 doubles along with teammate David Drucker, currently 4-2 on the season at #5 and #6 singles.

Rookie of the Week- Zach Arpey, freshman, Endicott College- 3-0 at #4 singles, as well as 3-0 at #1 doubles, currently has a TCCC-best 9-0 record at singles, and his doubles team is 7-2 in 2011.

Softball
Player/Rookie of the Week- Mattie Brett, freshman shortstop, Endicott- 9-18, 3 2B, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 7 runs scored in 4 games, hitting .391 with 2 HR and 11 RBI over 18 games in 2011.

Pitcher of the Week- Jaclyn Doolin, junior RHP, Roger Williams- 3-0, 1.84 ERA with 20 K in 19 innings pitched, 6-4 with a 2.65 ERA in 11 2011 starts.

Womens Lacrosse
Offensive Player of the Week- Morgan DeShaw, junior attacker, Endicott- 14 goals, 2 assists, and 4 ground balls in three games, currently has 33 goals and 6 assists in 10 games.

Defensive Player of the Week- Leah Neff, junior goalie, Endicott- 3-0 with a 9.20 GAA on 58 shots faced, is 7-3 overall with a 9.10 GAA.

Rookie of the Week- Kelsey Daniels, Freshman midfielder, WNEC- scored 19 goals and had 3 assists in 3 games, has a team leading 46 points (34 goals, 12 assists)
