WNEC girls lacrosse falls in TCCC championship

Just 15 days following a 15-12 victory over Endicott to solidify the TCCC regular season title, the Golden Bears lost to the Gulls on their home turf, 10-4, as they failed to capture the program's first ever conference title.

The Gulls jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a pair of goals by Holly Davis in the first period to give Endicott an early lead.  After Nicole Poli scored to cut the lead in half, Endicott struck for five consecutive goals to open up the score to 7-1.  WNEC would get goals from Liz McRoberts, Katie Toomy, and Jeanmarie Barbado, but was too little too late as Endicott come out on top, 10-4.

The win gave Endicott its 6th consecutive conference championship as well as NCAA tournament bid.  The Golden Bears will learn of their fate in the upcoming days, with an ECAC appearance being likely.
