The WNEC baseball team's 38-9 record thus far this season has been good enough for the best record in school history, to go along with the program's sixth consecutive conference championship. The team hopes to build on the record-setting season as they head to Cape Cod for the NCAA New England Regionals, as they look for the first regional championship in school history. The team is ranked No. 21 in the nation, and No. 3 in New England.
They will face Husson (ME) Wednesday night in their tournament opener. Husson went 29-15 in the 2011 season en route to an NEAC championship.
