WNEC Hockey Forward Chris Connors win ECAC Northeast Rookie of Year

The ECAC Northeast handed out its rookie of the year award today, the recipient being WNEC freshman forward Chris Connors.  This came after a strong season from Connors, a season in which he led WNEC in points (30) and assists (21) in 25 games, and his 1.2 points per game was good enough for 5th in the nation.  Connors played a big role in WNEC going 8-16-1 and qualifying for postseason play for the first time since 2000, a big improvement from a 3-21-1 record a year ago.

Connors leads a big freshman class that features 16 freshman, including John Kelly, Brian Prost, Dan Monahan, and Cam Napolitan, all of whom tallied 18 or more points.
